Susan Power, producer of The Fabric Shows, has over 4 decades of experience in product development - including the marketing, sales, and design of textiles and the production of apparel/home products. She thrives on the challenge of creating a new product or service that will fill a void in the marketplace.
In 1988, she co-founded a B2B publishing company in order to publish the first comprehensive guide to the New York City Garment Center. Currently, she is the publisher of The Sourcer’s Guide and the companion website AboutSources.com.
In 2005, Susan established The Resource Center at Gibbs - a comprensive resource library of fabric and trimmings for the Fashion Industry. The Resource Center also hosted industry conferences and mini trade shows. When the Gibbs School closed at it's prime location across from Bryant Park in New York City, Susan began planning the launch of the first tradeshow for apparel designers featuring American suppliers.
In 2012, Power launched a tradeshow for Designers/Manufacturers in North America who were seeking low minimums, in-stock programs, for fabrics & trims – and sources for cut & sew production in the USA and Canada. The Fabric Shows are now coast to coast in the USA – drawing attendees from North America and beyond.
